Drive to move Ahead

Today was a surprising day, surprising because I hadn't anticipated of a chance that I would get to learn driving or atleast the basics of it.

My friend came down to meet me in his car and we went roaming around to see some places around in his car, I asked whether he could teach me to drive and there he goes! He took the car off the main road onto an open field with no obstacles and trees.

I was shocked that he was giving me a chance to drive his car! Hurray! I couldn't wait to grab the steering wheel.

The lesson started with the A,B,C.. to fasten your seat belt, check the rear view mirrors and surroundings etc. This was quiet easy to understand but very difficult to follow cause the moment you start driving you tend to forget these basics. Then know your gears.. 1-5 and the reverse and how to apply them with help of clutch. Yes driving Activa will never teach you of the clutch so it was very very difficult for me to understand the role of the clutch and brakes in Car or Bikes and the speeds associated with them. Its not confusing but simply when to use and how is difficult.

The next step was to bring the engine to life but before that you have to make sure the gear is in neutral state, hand brake is removed and you don't forget your ABCs.. Accelerator, Brake Clutch.. from right to left.

You turn on the car and there.. whoa!.. it was exciting to hear the engine start, I knew i can make it.
Then the story of Clutch, Gear and brake started step by step. Boy it is so difficult to understand and drive.
It is scary for a newbie to see you drive even at the speed of 5 km/hr... lol yes its stupid but even in second gear and just 15/20 km/hr makes you scream loud and go crazy. I don't know how my friend handled my reactions and still taught me to move ahead since i drove as many as four to five circles round and round and round in first gear and second gear little bit.
Now i can smoothly start the car, drive in first gear and that's it! Yeah, he taught me more but I ended up with only those.
The most difficult thing was the braking and moving ahead part especially on a slope or if you are in a traffic. Not to let you car go back and make it stand still and move it ahead whenever you want to. This as per my understandings took me a long time to gulp and react. In the process I made so many mistakes, I either went ahead with acceleration or put the gear in second or put brakes without checking anything. I laughed and laughed so madly that I knew i cannot do this and I need a break.
Hahahaha.. i drove for so long and i was saying that's it, instead of moving ahead.

Thanks to my friend.. and his patience.. he made me move ahead.. I had to learn the brake clutch system.
and I did but the only thing is I might forget it ;-)

It was exciting and one of a kind experience to learn to drive yet I would need more confidence to move ahead on my own as its not so easy as it sounds or as it seems.
I wonder how he or any other person sitting in driver's seat not only drives carefully with smoothness but also attend phones, talk, chat and share, watch, laugh, fight or play...

One day even I will be in that driver's seat doing all those things,

yet to picture myself that way..

Now next step was to drive with Confidence and not forget the ABCs of driving and then move on to next sessions.. no he wont be teaching me the next but atleast I would be sure to cover these steps smoothly if I enroll for a driving class in the near future.
